Jinergy Received "Innovative Technology Award"

On August 14, the Double Glass Bifacial Solar Modules Industrial Chain Technology and Application Forum 2018 and the Forum on Photovoltaic Power Plant Asset Management and Overseas Market Investment Strategy were held in Shanghai. In order to encourage the creativity of photovoltaic enterprises in the technological progress, set an example for the industry and further promote continuous technological improvement of industry, 2018 PV Guide Award was newly released.

As the No. 1 PV module manufacturer in Shanxi, Jinergy was awarded “Innovative Technology Award” for its breakthrough in mass production of HJT technology. This is another time for Jinergy to win high recognition from the industry due to such a revolutionary technology.

At present, the bifacial module has become an important and popular technical path to reduce costs and improve efficiency in the industry. Among them, bifacial technology has basically covered the mainstream P-type PERC, N-type PERC and N-type HJT cell technology, making it the first choice for cell upgrading; and the double glass module itself realizes significant improvement on pressure- resistance, water- resistance, and fire-resistance, through replacement of backplane with glass. Meanwhile, mass production without a major upgrading of the current mainstream production line is made possible through the very only modification of lamination in the process of production.

In order to accelerate application of mass production of bifacial module technology, Jinergy, starting from silicon wafers, conductive silver paste, TCO targets, texturing additives, equipment, etc., has made remarkable breakthroughs in the field of HJT ultra-high efficiency modules. At present, highest efficiency of Jinergy HJT in mass production has exceeded 24%. Without resorting to efficiency-promoting technologies like half-cut, MBB and other modules, the maximum power of 60-cell single-sided modules in mass production is up to 332.6W, and bifaciality  reached 89.61%.

Dr. Yang Liyou, general manager of Jinergy remarked: "With the application of HJT technology, the efficiency of crystalline silicon cells has reached a new high point, making it possible for HJT to be one of the mainstream technologies with high-efficiency in the future. But we are deeply aware that this is only a small step further on the road to success. From now, the Company, still in line with the specialized plan for cost reduction, will continuously improve the technical process, and make an orderly breakthrough in technical difficulties, which will ultimately drive the rapid decline in the cost of photovoltaic power generation in China.
