Recently, Jinneng Clean Energy Technology Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Jinergy”) has successfully complete the sample production of TBC modules through innovative R&D. The successful TBC prototypes production not only endows an aesthetical appearance of product, but also achieves breakthroughs in performance, injecting new momentum into the company’s future growth.
XBC technology is a high-efficiency photovoltaic cell based on the back-contact design, aimed at improving the photoelectric conversion efficiency of solar cells while overcoming the physic and process efficiency limitations of conventional cell technologies. Built on the high-efficiency IBC cell technology, Jinergy’s bifacial module series offers advantages such as high power generation gains, hot spot resistance, low stress with high reliability, high safety and customizability.
Prior to sample production, Jinergy conducted multiple detailed technical exchanges with material suppliers and equipment manufacturers regarding design schemes, technical approaches, and material compatibility. Ultimately, the technical scheme of 0BB welding combined with round ribbon was adopted for the BC sample double-glass modules. This solution can effectively increase the module’s bifaciality to over 75%. This trial production validated the manufacturing process and material compatibility of BC modules, established the fixed tensile strength standard for 0BB ribbon connection on BC cells and validated the integrated film lamination solution, providing strong data support for the development of high-efficiency BC module products. In the subsequent product development, the company will tackle key technical challenges of the 0BB solution while focus on the design of full-screen module solutions, further advancing BC module development and improving module efficiency.
