Exploring a low-carbon energy future with Mexico

On September, the Mexico Guest of Honor Forum of the 2024 Taiyuan Energy Low-carbon Development Forum opened, with guests from China and Mexico coming together to discuss the future of low-carbon energy. Since 2022, the Taiyuan Forum has been featuring a guest of honor, attracting significant attention each year. This year's guest of honor, Mexico, boasts a unique geographical location and a rich historical heritage. It serves as a crucial land transportation bridge between North and South America and is the birthplace of the Mayan and Aztec civilizations. Like Shanxi, Mexico is also abundant in energy resources, with its energy industry playing a significant role in Latin America. In recent years, Mexico has been at the forefront of low-carbon development. As a representative enterprise of new energy development in Shanxi Province, China, Jinergy is an essential destination for the visiting team from Mexico.

Before the meeting, the team visited Jinergy's production base, a world-leading PV manufacturer and clean energy provider incorporated under Jinneng Holding Group in Jinzhong city. The production base was bustling with over 100 5G-connected smart carts transporting silicon wafers to automated production lines with an annual output of 4 gigawatts of high-efficiency photovoltaic cells. The unmanned workshop is entirely controlled and managed by automatic intelligent cars, and the production scene is in full swing. The visitors gained a detailed understanding of the production process of photovoltaic cells and the development of photovoltaic technology, and had the opportunity to communicate with Yang Liyou, the general manager of Jinergy.

Yang Liyou shared, "As early as 2015, Jinergy has been providing high-efficiency photovoltaic modules for the Mexican market, earning recognition from customers and establishing a strong market reputation." Higher efficiency and lower cost are the eternal goals of the photovoltaic industry.
