The "2024 Potential Silver Photovoltaic Industry Annual Meeting" was successfully held on April 10-11 at the New Century Grand Hotel Ningbo Zhongdu in Zhejiang Province, China. This year's photovoltaic annual conference focused on the hot topics in the industry, addressing the challenges and future direction of development. Discussions also covered the development and application of N-type photovoltaic technology, perovskite and tandem photovoltaic supply chain, advanced materials and equipment for photovoltaic modules, and other relevant topics. Special forums were organized to facilitate in-depth discussions on the most pressing concerns of the industry.
During the "HJT Heterojunction and Tandem Technology Special Session," Ren Fayuan, HJT R&D Supervisor at Jinergy, presented the latest research developments in heterojunction perovskite technology. Currently, Jinergy's heterojunction production line has achieved a mass production efficiency of over 25.2%, with material costs now on par with TOPCon. Significant advancements have also been made in microcrystal technology, silver-coated copper paste, 0BB, and thin silicon wafer technology. Additionally, significant breakthroughs have been made through joint development between Jinergy and equipment manufacturers in large-capacity PECVD equipment for heterojunction technology. This has resulted in reduced costs for heterojunction equipment and ultimately lowered cost per watt.
"Research and development in the field of perovskite/crystalline silicon heterojunction tandem cell technology is currently focused on key technologies such as the calcium silicon laminated NiO hole transport layer and IZO transparent conductive film. A two-step evaporation solution mixing process has been developed, which shows significant advantages and high potential for industrialization. Currently, small-area perovskite cells have achieved an efficiency of 21.67%, while small-area calcium-silicon laminated cells have reached 28.46%. Large-area perovskite modules have an efficiency of 20.56%. Additionally, a demonstration line for perovskite/crystalline silicon heterojunction laminated cells has been successfully established, and efforts are being made to improve industrialization equipment." Ren Fayuan said.
Jinergy follows the technology strategy of "mass production generation, pilot generation, research and development generation", unswervingly maintains R&D investment in independent innovation, accelerates breakthroughs in core technologies, injects strong impetus into high-quality development with new quality productivity, and makes positive contributions to the global energy transformation and "carbon neutral" action.
