Recently, the National Energy Administration released the list of the first batch of innovation platforms during the 14th Five-Year Plan. Jinneng Clean Energy Technology Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Jinergy") was shortlisted as a “representative enterprise” based on its leading strength in the field of solar photovoltaic (PV) power generation. It will carry out three years of research and development in the field of "new energy and new power system" in the segment of "HTJ (heterojunction) cell". The practical actions of Jinergy will help to further implement the energy security innovation strategy and innovation-driven development strategy, and accelerate the progress of energy science and technology.
The National Energy Administration focused on energy security, “peaking carbon dioxide emissions and achieving carbon neutrality" goals and other major needs and launched the innovation platform selection. It is a specific action implemented in accordance with the relevant deployment arrangements of the 14th Five-Year Plan for scientific and technological innovation in the energy field and the relevant requirements of the Measures for Administration of the National Energy Research and Development Innovation Platform. Therefore, the relevant conditions for selection are quite complete and strict. A comprehensive qualification assessment was conducted on the selected enterprises, including but not limited to research, development, design, and experimental conditions; R&D achievements and leadership; a sound organizational system; scale of R&D personnel and capital; comprehensive ability in university-enterprise cooperation and cooperation between research institutes and enterprises, etc.
Jinergy stood out after nearly two years of evaluation, which is an initial recognition of the company's comprehensive leadership in the field of N-type HJT. As one of the earliest enterprises in China that have completed the forward-looking layout of N-type HJT mass production, Jinergy has built the world's most technology - and cost-competitive cell and module production capacity through technological innovation and lean production. Jinergy has become one of the first batch of enterprises to pass the national forerunner certification and won many national and provincial awards at the same time. The Company continues to commit to the industrialization of leading technologies, drive the overall technological progress of the PV industry, lead the development of the next generation of PV products, and drive the rapid development of intelligent manufacturing in the PV industry.
Jinergy actively cooperates with CAS Shanghai Advanced Research Institute, Solar Energy Research Institute of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics and other universities to develop key and core HJT technologies. After this selection, Jinergy is expected to undertake the construction of national key laboratory, which will help to further enhance its comprehensive HJT R&D strength and make breakthrough in the cost reduction process and efficiency improvement means of HJT.
At present, Jinergy focuses closely on HJT technology and synchronously implements Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact (TOPCon) technology industrialization. And it also conducts layout of the lamination and XBC cell technology to form a holistic N-type ecosystem, providing more flexible and diversified installation options for the market. The dual-wheel drive and multi-technology layout will also support each other, and provide a new idea for the N-type iterative development in the industry.
As SNEC 2023 to be held on May 24, Jinergy will also bring new technologies and new products. Together with JDS customized module technology, it can solve customers' application pain points in a multi-directional way, help the transformation of energy structure, and provide customers with better solutions to comprehensive yield.
Jinergy is in the strategic key stage of the overall layout of a holistic N-type ecosystem. Being shortlisted in the list represents the recognition of the Company's strength, and is also a spur for the Company to continue to shoulder the mission of high-quality development of state-owned enterprises. The Company will focus on major R&D breakthroughs, and make in-depth attempts from the perspective of process technology innovation, business model innovation, industry-university-research cooperation and joint innovation, international R&D activities and more. At the same time, we will firmly focus on the strategic layout with N-type HJT technology as the core and multiple technologies developing simultaneously to help the top-level design department implement the "carbon neutrality" action plan, achieve energy transition, and facilitate the realization of a more valuable green future.
