Jinergy won the “2022 Annual N-type PV Cell Technology Breakthrough Award”

Recently, the “N-type PV Technology and Industry Development Forum 2023” held by Shanghai Solar Energy Society and PV Leader Innovation Forum came to a successful conclusion in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province. Jinneng Clean Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Jinergy”) was invited to attend this event and delivered a keynote speech themed by “Holistic N-type Ecosystem Facilitates Iterative Development of the Industry”. By virtue of innovation achievements in the field of N-type technology, Jinergy won the “2022 Annual N-type PV Cell Technology Breakthrough Award”.

 

The iteration of photovoltaic (PV) technology is accompanied by the all-round upgrading of the whole industry chain, which is of great benefit to achieving the goals of “peaking carbon dioxide emissions by 2030 and achieving carbon neutrality by 2060”, and finally enable end customers to enjoy a more convenient, clean, low-cost energy supply. Therefore, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China issued special guidelines on promoting the development of energy electronics industry, which clearly indicated that they would support the R&D and application of advanced technologies such as N-type high-efficiency cell. In this context, the “N-type PV Technology and Industry Development Forum 2023” focuses on diversified N-type technologies to highlight the promotion and influence of N-type technology on the upgrading of the whole PV industry chain, discuss the innovation and mass production practice of N-type PV technology, and explore the cost reduction and efficiency improvement solutions and implementation strategies, thus to further promote the sustained and healthy development of the PV industry.

 

Jinergy was invited to attend this event, which demonstrated the recognition of the Company’s continuous promotion of N-type technology R&D and innovation. YIN Jinjie, Product Manager of Jinery, shared and introduced on the site, “As the earliest PV enterprise in China to achieve mass production of N-type HJT, Jinergy actively cooperates with upstream and downstream enterprises to create the N-type HJT cost reduction ecosystem, helps domestic equipment manufacturers to develop low-cost equipment, carries out cost reduction work in conductive silver paste, Indium Tin Oxide (ITO) target material, texturing additives and other links, focuses on “low-cost HJT” to make continuous efforts, and accelerates to highlight its efficiency advantage. At present, the conversion efficiency of Jinergy’s ultra-efficient HJT cell has exceeded 25%, ranking the first echelon in the industry.

 

Mr. YIN shared in his speech themed by “Holistic N-type Ecosystem Facilitates Iterative Development of the Industry”, “HJT and TOPCon technologies constitute a holistic N-type ecosystem, thus comprehensively diversifying and upgrading the product solutions. Meanwhile, together with the differentiated application solutions of Jinergy Development Series (JDS) products featured by high-voltage resistance, light weight, all-black appearance, seaborne floating modules, and transparent backsheetplane, it can provide customers with the ‘optimal flexible installed capacity solution’.”

 

Jinergy also revealed that the Company is cooperating with Shaanxi Normal University, CAS Shanghai Advanced Research Institute, CAS Shanxi Institute of Coal Chemistry, and Taiyuan University of Technology to carry out the perovskite/ HJT cell stacking project research. Jinergy would follow the development strategy of “keeping one generation in mass production, one generation in pilot production and one generation in R&D” to constantly promote technological innovation and lead the progress of the industry.

 

In this award competition, Jinergy mainly displayed the latest technology project - “Development and application of new carrier transmission design technology for silica-based silicon solar cells”. This project won the Science and Technology Award of Shanxi Province in 2022. In the implementation process, it applied for and authorized 2 invention patents and 5 utility model patents. This innovative technology focuses on the research of non-silicon cost reduction of PV cell technology, and can reduce the consumption of electrode silver paste and improve the efficiency of cell photoelectric conversion, which is of great help to reduce the cost and increase the efficiency of the Company’s cell technology, and plays a role in promoting the development of N-type iteration in the industry.
