On September 1, 2022, the “2022 Taiyuan Energy Low Carbon Development Forum” (“Forum”) themed by “Energy & Carbon Peaking and Carbon Neutrality & Development” was held in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province, PRC. At the Forum, new energy themed exhibitions and sub-forums were organized to enhance product display and technical communication, to jointly promote low-carbon development. Jinergy, a leading new energy enterprise in Shanxi, was invited to attend the Forum, where we exhibited our high-efficiency N-type heterojunction (HTJ) and all-range series of large-size PERC module products, attracting many participants’ attention. Dr. YANG Liyou, General Manager of Jineng Clean Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (“Jinergy” or “Company”) attended the “New Technology of Renewable Energy Industry Forum” and delivered a keynote speech themed by Energy Transformation - Innovation Promotes the Rapid Rise of Photovoltaic Industry in Shanxi, sharing his experience and views on innovative development transformation.

“Taiyuan Energy Low Carbon Development Forum”, co-sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Natural Resources of the People’s Republic of China, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of the People’s Republic of China, the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, the National Energy Administration and the People's Government of Shanxi Province, of which five sessions have been successfully held and has been highly valued by the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and the State Council. Featured by “diversification, internationalization, specialization and digitalization”, the Forum is gradually becoming an authoritative platform with global influence for high-level talks, release of scientific and technological achievements and international cooperation in the energy field.

The combination of “high-end platform+ excellent enterprises” is the key form for this event to promote international and domestic cooperation. Jinergy’s photovoltaic products brought core technologies and innovative solutions, thus becoming an important carrier for cooperation expansion purpose of this event. During the Forum, Jinergy exhibited its ultra-high-efficiency N-type HJT module series JNHM144, the new all-black module series JNHM120, and the high-efficiency PERC module series JNMM132 and JNMM144.

Among them, the HJT module adopts HJT bifacial cell with conversion efficiency over 24% and bifaciality of over 85%, and thus increases the power generation by about 10%-35% under different environments. Moreover, it enjoys multiple advantages of N-type modules, including excellent weak light response, ultra-low temperature coefficient, and ultra-low degradation with N-type silicon wafer. The Company recently launched the new all-black module series, which adopt all-black design in details, with black frame, black silica gel and other black materials, thus highlighting the “zero-carbon aesthetics”. It can fully meet the high standard of aesthetic installation requirements in the overseas markets.

The universal module series of large-size PERC modules can provide customized services, including single-sided/bifacial options, three size options (166/182/210), and power coverage from 355W to 605W. The application solutions are flexible, widely applicable to large above-ground power stations and distributed industrial and commercial projects. This series adopts advanced MBB (multi-busbar) technology, non-destructive cutting technology and half-cut technology to achieve ultra-high module efficiency and stable power generation performance. Bifacial dual glass modules can increase power generation gain by 5%-25% in different application scenarios. The high-density encapsulation enhances the weather fastness and ensures high and long-term power generation profitability even in harsh environments.

Dr. YANG said in his keynote speech, “Data show that in 2021, Shanxi’s photovoltaic power generation ranked the sixth in the PRC, totaling 12.17 billion KWH and 11.6 times higher than that in 2016. Among the top 10 energy-intensive provinces, its growth rate ranked the first. The development potential of Shanxi’s photovoltaic industry is huge.”

When referring to the future development of Shanxi's new energy industry, he said, “Under the situation of high economic growth, one of the main ways for Shanxi to realize new energy transformation is to build the 100-billion-level photovoltaic industry chain. Jinergy has leading transformation experience on ‘iterative development’ in Shanxi areas. With advanced HJT and sophisticated PERC technologies, the Company has achieved a comprehensive production capacity of 5GW. The Company also pays attention to the globalization strategy. It has established cooperation with more than 40 countries around the world. Jinergy always strives to get refined internally and externally to raise brand awareness, and may set an example for high quality development of new energy enterprises in Shanxi.”

Jinergy would follow the core strategy of “keeping one generation in mass production, one generation in pilot production and one generation in R&D” to constantly promote technological innovation and the leading role of technology, pursue interconnected development of the upstream and downstream clusters of the industry chain, gradually build Jinergy into the engine for new energy development in Shanxi, and lead the PV industry chain in Shanxi to achieve chain-based and cluster-based upgrade, thus providing strong support for the high-quality development of the new energy industry in the central region, playing an active role in promoting the energy revolution and transformation, and facilitating the endeavors to achieve carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals.
