A few days ago, Seminar on Reliability and Economic Analysis of Technology Solutions for Photovoltaic Top-runner Project sponsored by China Photovoltaic Industry Association was held in Beijing. QIAO Kai, Vice-president of Jinergy, the leading PV manufacturer, was invited to attend the seminar, and discussed with industry masters about the focal issues inclduing the difficulties of technical solution for the photovoltaic-leader bid-winning project and how to balance the technical reliability, economical efficiency and non-technical cost, etc.
At present, the third batch of “photovoltaic top-runner” bases have attracted much attention in the industry. Different from the previous two batches, the third batch of “photovoltaic top-runner” bases are divided into application-leading bases and technology-leading bases while the two bases have different construction modes.According to the investors’ requirements, the focus for the application-leading base is theon-grid price, which requires investors select and use photovoltaic products with photovoltaic top-runner technical indicators and take the electricity price 10% lower than that of local photovoltaic power generation benchmark on-grid price as the threshold of enterprise bidding; the technology-leading base mainly highlights the advancement of research and development technology and the market application prospect.
Along with the boosting of the third batch of “photovoltaic top-runner” projects, the promotion of both economical efficiency and reliability of indutrial advanced technology, the costant decrease of enterprise manufacturing cost and the gradual perfection of marketing policies have become the key factors for industrial upgrading and transformation, among which the economical efficiency and reliability of module technology is the top priority.
QIAO Kai pointed out it requires not only a large amount of investment in technology research and development, but also the empirical test of the market, so that the emerging advanced industrial technology can realize economical efficiency and reliability at the same time. The implementation of the first two batches of “photovoltaic top-runner” projects has led to the promotion of high-efficiency monocrystalline and monocrystalline PERC technology, thus to open up the industrial chain effectively. Therefore, we have reasons to believe that the promotion of the third batch of photovoltaic top-runner bases will inevitably lead to maturer development of the PERC, HJT, MWT and other efficient technology supporting industrial chains and give full play to the most essential advantages of high-efficiency technologies with great development potential.
According to the latest statistic data, among the 8 major bid-winning enterprises of photovoltaic application-leading bases and 38 project bidings, there are 19 project applications for monocrystalline PERC technology, 10 for monocrystalline PERC bifacial technology, 7 for N-type monocrystalline bifacial technology and 7 for monocrystalline PERC bifacial and dual-glass technology.
QIAO Kai said, “There is no doubt that the “photovoltaic top-runner” plan has provided opportunities of fair competition for all high-efficiency technologies. The one with the highest efficiency will be the winner. Therefore, as a manufacturer, we absolutely support the application-leader plan and frontier-technology-leader plan. At present, Jinergy has made adequate preparations for technological reserve and provided a large number of products for photovoltaic poverty alleviation and photovoltaic-leader projects.”
