The "Belt and Road" Forum for Photovoltaic International Cooperation Was Held in Beijing: Jinergy Ultra-High Efficiency Modules Assist Overseas Market Exploitation

WANG Guiqing, Vice-chairman of China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products and executive director of Solar Photovoltaic Products Association, WU Tianrong, Director of International Department of China Electricity Council and Chairman of Power Industry Committee of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, representatives from foreign institutions in China of countries along “the Belt and Road”, overseas equipment purchasers, representatives of financial institutions, domestic excellent photovoltaic manufacturers and other representatives of different fields attended the Forum and discussed about the topics involving overseas project construction, new technologies and new products, etc. As the leading photovoltaic module manufacturer in Shanxi Province, QIAO Kai, Vice-president of Jinergy Clean Energy Technology Ltd. (Jinergy), was formally invited to the forum and delivered a keynote speech on High-Efficiency and Ultra-High Efficiency Modules Assist “the Belt and Road” National Photovoltaic Project Construction.
In recent years, under the guidance of “the Belt and Road” Initiative, many photovoltaic enterprises in China have transformed their attention to the countries and regions along “the Belt and Road” and actively sought new markets.Some industry experts point out that the power grid upgrading and reconstruction tasks in the countries along “the Belt and Road” are heavy, for example, power transmission loss in India, Mongolia, Pakistan, Tajikistan, etc. have exceeded 10%, while that in Kyrgyzstan, Nepal, etc. has exceeded 20%.

Moreover, Jinergy’s PERC module has adopted the industry-leading PERC and partial Al-BSF technologies, which can effectively reduce the occurrence of LID luminous decay in cells and modules. Its average conversion efficiency can reach 21.7%, which can increase the power output by 7% per square meter and effectively reduce the system cost per watt, becoming a major solution for the industry to realize cost decreasing and benefit increasing.
Besides, the HJT innovatively developed by Jinergy is also a potential solution for the industry to realize cost decreasing and benefit increasing. QIAO Kai revealed, “At present, the average efficiency of HJT bifacial batteries in Jinzhong has reached 23.27%, reaching the efficiency target set by the Factory, and the maximum power output of 72 bifacial HJT modules is over 400W. In the future, as the ratio of land cost, labor cost and other costs in the overall system investment increases constantly, the cost per kilowatt hour of electricity will greatly decrease, which will be the effective transition for future photovoltaic technology to move towards 25% high efficiency level, thus to make the photovoltaic grid parity become a reality.”
