Shanxi Brand Strides on the Silk Road to Kazakhstan JINERGY Manifests the Spirit of Shanxi Merchants with Advanced Technologies

On July 5th, the “Silk Road Trip of Shanxi Brands” organized by Shanxi provincial government kicked off in Astana, capital of Kazakhstan. As an outstanding representative of Shanxi merchants in clean energy, Jinneng Clean Energy Technology Ltd. (JINERGY) made a stage pose with its 285W high-efficiency polycrystalline PV module. It was another “the Belt and Road” trip of JINERGY after the visit to India last year, once again manifesting the spirit of Shanxi merchants with high-efficiency and reliable photovoltaic technologies in the era of energy transformation.

SUN Yuejin, Head of Commerce Department of Shanxi Province, pointed out, “The open-up is the restricting element of Shanxi development but it is necessary in the future. In order to be open, we must make more and more Shanxi products and industries go abroad to explore potential by seizing the opportunity of the national ‘Belt and Road’ strategy and through the ‘Silk Road Trip of Shanxi Brands’ program.”

With the strategy of “The Belt and Road”, JINERGY, the leading local PV module manufacturer of Shanxi Province, has taken the lead to seize the opportunity tightly to make full use of its R&D power and global layout to export the modules to lots of countries and regions including India, Pakistan, Mexico and Brazil. Kazakhstan may probably become another key market of JINERGY after the company followed “The Belt and Road”.

“As an energy superpower and the biggest landlocked country, Kazakhstan is currently in possession of an energy structure mainly based on coal and oil gas. However, the country is also abundant in resources of wind energy, solar energy and water power, etc., so it enjoys the particularly favorable natural advantages to develop the clean energies. Shanxi, as a traditional province of coal in China, is committed to getting rid of the ‘coal monopoly’ pattern and try to team up with the provinces that use clean energies. Therefore, through active exchange and cooperation, Shanxi and Kazakhstan could create a win-win situation arising from complementary advantages and work together to accelerate the transformation of energy structure”, said PhD. YANG Liyou, GM of JINERGY.

Astana Expo 2017 was themed by “Future Energy”. The energy topics like energy management, sustainable utilization of energies, and development of clean energies has arisen wide attention of the society. In order to reduce the excessive dependence on oil gas resources, Nazarbayev, President of Kazakhstan, proposed to complete over 50 renewable energy projects with a generating capacity of 2,000 MW by the end of 2020, and make the renewable energy projects account for 50% of the total energies of Kazakhstan by 2050.

At present, making efforts to develop PV, wind power and other new energy projects is the key to the construction of the green “the Belt and Road”. YANG Liyou expressed, “We’ve been engaged in R&D of cutting-edge innovative technologies and mass production over the past years and we’ve made a great breakthrough in production of high-efficiency polycrystalline PV modules, PERC monocrystalline PV modules and ultra-high efficiency heterojunction modules. The high-efficiency polycrystalline products displayed in Kazakhstan is featured by excellent PID. Meanwhile, we’ve achieved mass production of high-efficiency polycrystalline PV modules and PERC monocrystalline PV modules that surpassed “PV Top Runner” program standards. In the future, we hope to bring the advanced photovoltaic technologies into Kazakhstan, and show countries in central Asian and along the Silk Road Shanxi enterprises’ commitment to accelerating the environment-friendly transformation of energy industry through the ‘Silk Road Trip of Shanxi Brands’ platform. At the same time, JINERGY’s participation in the activity also sets a solid foundation for further cooperation of Chinese enterprises, especially energy enterprises, with Kazakhstan government and enterprises in field of new energies.”
