JINERGY would deliver 50MW PV modules for key “One Belt and One Road” project of pakistan
Jinneng Clean Energy Technology Limited (hereinafter referred to as “JINERGY”) announced that it would supply 50MW PV modules for the 900MW ground-mounted PV power station of ZONERGY Company Limited (hereinafter referred to as “ZONERGY”) at Punjab of Pakistan and it was expected that the products would be delivered in October 2015.
The 900MW ground-mounted PV power station at Punjab of Pakistan was built with the investment of ZONERGY and the project has been incorporated into the Priority Project List of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and it was also one of the key initial projects for “One Belt and One Road”. The total planned area for the project was 4,500 acres and the total investment was RMB 9,313,000,000 Yuan. The Project was built by three phases and expected to be completed and connected to the grid in 2017.
In order to make a response to the state's “One Belt and One Road” strategy, ZONERGY played an active part in the power construction projects for Pakistan, Tajikistan and countries in Central Asia, South Asia and Africa. At present, the 900MW Project that has been built at Punjab of Pakistan is the largest single PV power station of the world and it will offer nearly 1,300,000,000kWh electricity every year after it is fully completed.
As one of the key initial projects for “One Belt and One Road”, the PV power station could significantly alleviate the electricity shortage in Punjab and the surrounding areas. It could also create more than 3,300 job opportunities directly for the region, helping improve the employment situation and reduce the number of people living in poverty.
