JINERGY Tightly Holds the Chance of Tera-scale PV market during the Critical Period for Shanxi Energy Transition
Shanxi is promoting transition and upgrade of energy industry at full stretch. Under this big background, Shanxi Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government grasped the explosive development chance of new energy industry to accelerate the speed of becoming bigger and stronger in PV industry from construction of “Front Runner” demonstration base in coal-mining depression land, PV poverty alleviation, PV intelligent manufacture and other aspects. PV industry will become one of the important pillar industries in the transition of Shanxi heavy industrialized energy base. At this critical period, as the weathervane of PV intelligent manufacture technology that reach the standard of “Front Runner” project, recently, Jinneng Group attended in supporting the “Shanxi Energy Industry Transition and PV Industry Outlook Forum 2016” jointly held by China Photovoltaic Society of Chinese Renewable Energy Industries Association and PVMEN. It aimed at tightly holding Tera-scale PV market and promoting Shanxi PV power generation industry for further development.
The forum was supported by Shanxi Development and Reform Commission, China Renewable Energy Society, China Photovoltaic Industry Association, Shanxi Provincial Commission of Economy and Information Technology, Stated-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Shanxi Provincial Government, Shanxi Poverty Alleviation and Development Office, People’s Government of Jinzhong, People’s Government of Lvliang, Jinneng Group, etc.. The deputy director of National Energy Administration, Mr. LIU Qi, the vice-governor of Shanxi Province, Mr. GAO Jianmin and other government leaders and representatives of related enterprises have conducted an active discussion on how to promote energy industrial transition through developing PV power generation and other clean energy industries.
In order to solve the problem of deforming and serious industrial structure featuring “heavily reliant on coal ”, and accelerate the side reform of energy supply, Shanxi Provincial Government recently issued 2016 Action Plan of Shanxi Comprehensive Matched Reform Experiment of National Resource-oriented Economic Transition (hereinafter referred to as “Action Plan”). The Action Plan emphasizes on constructing PV demonstration base of national advanced technology on coal-mining depression land of Datong. Promote the application of PV products with support of the base, strengthen the co-construction of power grid and power station, and coordinate PV power station and ecological construction.
Shanxi Provincial Government supports PV and other new energy industries, which promotes the transition of local large-scale energy groups. Jinneng Group is a comprehensive “traditional energy plus new energy” group transited from traditional coal enterprise. It plays an outstanding role during the critical period of “turning black to green” in Shanxi.
The chairman of Jinneng Group, Mr. WANG Qirui said, “As a large state-owned integrated energy group and the pilot enterprise for energy reform of Shanxi, Jinneng Group, with conformation to the overall situation of energy reform, has proposed “1255” development strategy. “1255” development strategy, i.e. “To integrate & optimize diversified industries based on coal, electricity and clean energy and supported by trade logistics; to change the development concept, and development mode for the purpose of creating the first-class comprehensive energy group, and advance safe development, innovative development, green development, harmonious development and shared development; to construct a safe, innovative, green, effective and harmonious Jinneng. ”
In 2014, JINERGY invested to build the production base of 1.2 GW efficient polycrystalline silicon cells and modules at Wenshui, achieving the objective of “Commencement, Construction, Operation and Profit Realized in the Same Year”. At the beginning of 2016, to catch the brisk demand for high efficiency solar products, JINERGY started to construct the mass production plant of 2GW n-type mono-crystalline silicon heterojunction at Jinzhong. The first batch of products are expected to off the line within this year. Mr. WANG Qirui indicated that JINERGY had been strictly abiding by the technical strategy of production, testing and research & development, trying to every expansion getting to a new step.
With regard to the future PV power generation industry, Dr. YANG Liyou, General Manager of JINERGY, stated in the forum that during the “13th Five-year Plan”, China’s PV industry will make greater breakthroughs in terms of technology content of products and the intellectualization development of equipment. In the long run, intelligent manufacturing has become the only way for the transformation and upgrading of China's PV industry. In the future, we will continue devoting in supplying efficient module products at a fair price. Through providing PV modules in high power and high reliability for clients at a fair price we can effectively reduce the cost that the clients put in the power station construction period and significantly promote long-term power generation profits during the power station operation period. In this way, we can better seize the opportunity of domestic PV market explosion during Group transition.”
