JINERGY Presents EU PVSEC with Mass-Produced and High-Efficiency PERC+ Technology

Recently, JINERGY released its latest research result on high-efficiency PERC+ monocrystalline PV modules, during the 32nd European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition (EU PVSEC) held in Munich, Germany. The module has reached an average cell efficiency of 21.2% in mass production, paralleling major polycrystalline PV modules with regard to LID, and is provided with excellent reliability and reproducibility.

 It was introduced that JINERGY’s latest high-efficiency monocrystalline PV module has adopted the edge-cutting rear-side Al2O3 passivation, SiNx passiviation and laser grooving technologies to conventional cells, thus raising average efficiency to 21.2% in the mass production. Compared with conventional mono and poly crystalline and regular PERC technology, PERC+ reduces LID effectively. Test results showed that, cells in use suffered less than 1% LID during 40 hours, and modules less than 1.5% during 75 days with steady performance.

  “We all know that the capacity and power degradation rate of PV modules directly impact the ROI of PV projects,” said Dr. YANG Liyou, General Manager of JINERGY. “So we launched PERC+ technology as a monocrystalline solution comparable with polycrystalline products in terms of LID to respond to the increasing concerns on LID and to meet the demands for high-efficiency monocrystalline products. JINERGY’s high-efficiency monocrystalline product boasts a LID rate of 3.0% in the first year and 0.70% per year in the following years, with capacity per unit area raised to 109%.”

 In the future, JINERGY will insist transforming technology innovation to product innovation, aiming at high-end and intelligent PV manufacturing, and thus facilitating the transformation and upgrading of China’s PV manufacturing industry. We estimated that JINERGY will be able to raise the output rate of 290W monocrystalline PERC modules above 70% by 2017 and that of 295W and 300W monocrystalline PERC modules above 50% and 30% respectively by 2018. JINERGY will continue to lead the industry in technology.
