In recent years, Shanxi Datong has been engaged in a tough fight for poverty alleviation. The first batch of PV projects in towns have been connected into the power grid and put into service one after another in July. They can provide villagers living in poor area stable and sustainable profit for 25 years. In particular, Tianzhen County 41MW PV Poverty Alleviation Project, with the participation and support of Jinneng Clean Energy Technology Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as JINERGY), a top PV module manufacturer in Shanxi, helps local poor families to get rid of poverty by virtue of high-quality and high-efficiency PV modules.

To achieve a stable progress in PV poverty alleviation, the General Office of Shanxi Provincial Government is devoted to delivering tangible benefits to over 1,000 poor villages and around 70,000 poor households registered, in accordance with The Guidance for PV Poverty Alleviation issued by the Government in July. The Guidance proposes to ensure an additional annual income of RMB 3,000 for every registered poor household without labor force and increased economic returns for the whole villages from 2016 to 2020. It relies on constructing power stations on unutilized lands of poor villages, setting up rooftop PV power devices for rural residences, establishing centralized power station on the ground for enterprises in barren mountains and slopes, building PV power stations for agricultural uses beside breeding farms and vegetable greenhouses,  taking 35 key counties with great light conditions among the  national poverty alleviation and development program as major development areas.

Tianzhen County was a pilot county among the Shanxi first batch of PV poverty alleviation program. Therefore,  Tianzhen County 41MW PV Power Generation Project was a key project of this year. The total investment in this project was RMB 379 million. JINERGY has provided the project 41MW high-efficiency PV modules in total, 1MW for the construction of distributed power stations at village level and 40MW for that of centralized power station on the ground at Yulinkou of Guqianbao County. The centralized power station on the ground is expected to achieve an annual electric-power output of 56 million KW after being put into service, an amount of energy equal to that generated from the burning of 490,000 tons of standard coals. Hence, the emission of carbon dioxide will be cut by 1.28 million tons.

It is introduced that, as a company receiving Top Runner certification in the first run, JINERGY has always been focusing on delivering high-quality and high-efficiency PV modules to PV poverty alleviation projects. JNMP60-265 PV modules used in this project adoptes a cell design with 4 bus-bar design and double printing cell technology, contributes to excellent low light performance to support extra generation of power and raise power generation efficiency, and outstanding capability to resist PID, salt-mist, with a wind load as great as 2400Pa and a now load as high as 5400Pa. JINERGY’s high-quality and high-efficiency PV modules are of great performance to ensure a long-term sustainable profit in the project and to enhance the efforts in targeted poverty alleviation with measures aiming at constant development, other than solely depending on donations.
