JINERGY Presented High-Efficiency PV Module and PV Community on Taiyuan Energy Low Carbon Development Forum 2016

This year, Shanxi Province’s efforts in adjusting the economic pattern dominated by coal industry and promoting the supply-side reform of coal sector have achieved initial success. Jinneng Group, like many other coal state-owned enterprises (SOEs) in Shanxi Province, took a lead in cutting outdated coal production capacity and strived to promote PV cells and modules manufacturing and achieve transformation through its clean energy subsidiary, Jinneng Clean Energy Technology Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as JINERGY). JINERGY has shaped a world-leading manufacturer of cells and modules with the world's top 5% technical and cost competitiveness within 2 years since its establishment.

On September 7th, during Taiyuan Energy Low Carbon Development Forum 2016 and China (Taiyuan) International Energy Industry Expo 2016 opening ceremony, themed by “Green Development of Black Coal, and Low Carbon Development of High Carbon Resource”, JINERGY demonstrated its universally affirmed “Top-Runner” intelligent manufacturing capability on the forum and exhibition by virtue of high-efficiency polycrystalline PV modules and high-efficiency PERC monocrystalline PV modules.

This Expo was co-hosted by People’s Government of Shanxi Province, Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China, Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and National Energy Administration. Attending on the forum were LOU Yangsheng, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Acting Governor of Shanxi Province, leaders from specialized divisions of the ministries of the State Council, mayors of low-carbon pilot cities, governors from foreign countries along “One Belt and One Road”, the chairman of the board of large-scale enterprises, experts and professors from world famous universities and research institutes, including many other guests. They delivered speeches on many hot topics, such as the transformation development of low carbon economy, the clean use of coal energy, and the use of new energies in Shanxi Province.

JINERGY’s high-efficiency polycrystalline PV module is applied with Ga-added silicon chip, and cell design with 4 bus-bar design and double printing cell technology, thus has outstanding performance in resisting PID, salt-mist, a snow load as high as 5400Pa and a wind load as great as 2400Pa. The high-efficiency PERC+ monocrystalline PV module adopts PERC+ and atomic layer deposition technologies to effectively reduce Light–Induced Degradation (LID) of cells and PV modules with the average conversion efficiency up to 21%.

Dr. YANG Liyou, General Manager of JINERGY, expressed that JINERGY has achieved an output rate of 270W high-efficiency PV modules above 78.29% in mass production, an efficiency greater than most other enterprises. And the company has gradually placed its focus on the production of 275W modules.

According to the latest technical route released by JINERGY, the output rate of 290W PERC monocrystalline PV modules will exceed 70% by 2017 and that of 295W and 300W high-efficiency PV modules are expected to reach above 50% and 30% respectively by 2018.

In addition, JINERGY has also put forward the concept of “PV Community”, a community where residential and commercial houses are provided with PV roofs, on the exhibition. Different from common communities, PV Community utilizes PV power generation system to serve residences and public facilities like street lamps. It is said that JINERGY will enter into cooperation with the government in various regions, aiming at promoting the application of distributed PV project and building up low-carbon and green homelands.
